POLICE – Man hospitalized, woman in custody after Westsyde stabbing

A 20-year-old man is in hospital and a 19-year-old woman is in custody after a stabbing early today (July 23, 2017).

RCMP responded to a complaint of a disturbance in Westsyde at about 2 a.m. When they arrived, they found the man outside a home, suffering from an apparent chest wound. The woman was found inside the home with a knife.

The injured man was taken to Royal Inland Hospital where he is being treated for his injuries and is in stable condition.

Charges of aggravated assault are being recommended against the woman.
