COMMUNITY – Thousands cross start line at annual Boogie the Bridge

The CFJC-TV Boogie the Bridge got underway this morning (April 30, 2017) with thousands of runners crossing the start line at Riverside Park. It’s the 20th year for the charity event, and the biggest one yet.

It features 5k, 10k and 21k half marathon events. Estimated attendance is 3,000.

There was even a political flavor to this year’s event, with Liberal candidate Todd Stone participating in the run and giving a friendly wave to Green candidates Donovan Cavers and Dan Hines as he went past by them near the start.
