COMMUNITY – Thousands cross start line at annual Boogie the Bridge

The CFJC-TV Boogie the Bridge got underway this morning (April 30, 2017) with thousands of runners crossing the start line at Riverside Park. It’s the 20^th year for the charity event, and the biggest one yet.

It features 5k, 10k and 21k half marathon events. Estimated attendance is 3,000.

There was even a political flavor to this year’s event, with Liberal candidate Todd Stone participating in the run and giving a friendly wave to Green candidates Donovan Cavers and Dan Hines as he went past by them near the start.
