MUSIC – John Reischman and The Jaybirds in Kamloops on May 13

A group that fashions an innovative and unadorned take on bluegrass will be in concert at St. Andrews on the Square next month.

With seven critically acclaimed albums, two Juno nominations and two Canadian Folk Music Award nominations, the buzz around John Reischman and The Jaybirds continues to grow, according to Entertainment Management, which is bringing the group to Kamloops.

” Their live show is a genial blend of story-telling and side-show humor providing the backdrop to their studied performance of original songs, instrumentals, and newly arranged traditional material.”
