POLICE – Man suffers serious injuries after jump from Overlanders Bridge

A man was rescued from the Thompson River today(April 26, 2017) after he went over the Overlanders Bridge.

Several witnesses saw him jump at about 4:15 p.m. and called Kamloops RCMP. He was found near the south end of the bridge after swimming ashore, and was treated by responding emergency health services before being taken to Royal Inland Hospital with serious injuries.
