ENTERTAINMENT – Kamloops in for a Dutch treat with Winkler Prins band
Winkler Prins Harmonie from Veendam, Netherlands performs in Kamloops on Wednesday, April 26 at 7 p.m. in the Coast Kamloops Hotel and Conference Centre Theatre.
The band (Harmonie is Dutch for wind band) is an ensemble of 46 musicians who all have a connection with the Winkler Prins School in the City of Veendam. Band members are students, alumni, teachers, former teachers or family members of the school.
Winkler Prins Harmonie are the guests of the Kamloops Community Band, who will be performing with the Dutch band in Wednesday’s “Let’s Get in Treble” concert.
Music will include arrangements of pop music, Broadway and movie themes, swing classics, and traditional wind band music.
