POLICE – Vancouver man arrested in connection with bank robbery
A 40-year-old man is in police custody after a bank robbery Friday (March 31, 2017) at the TD Canada Trust on Victoria Street.
Kamloops RCMP received a call at about 5:16 p.m. that a man had robbed the bank and fled on foot. Detachment members and Kamloops RCMP Police Dog Services responded but didn’t immediately locate the suspect.
However, at about 8:30 p.m. they arrested a Vancouver resident suspected of the robbery, taking him into custody without incident. He’ll appear in court Monday.
The same bank was robbed in February. A 52-year-old man was arrested in connection with that one.
