KGHM Ajax Mining Inc. learned yesterday that the BC Environmental Assessment office has restarted the regulatory clock on the Ajax Project’s environmental assessment.

“We’re excited about this development,” said Chris Wild, the Ajax Project’s Manager. “This will allow the public a chance to see firsthand the results of the work we have been doing for the last several months.

“Our team has worked very hard to address all the comments and questions posed by the public, government reviewers, First Nations and members of the technical working group.”

The regulatory clock was paused last year to allow the company and the government a chance to review thousands of comments submitted in public comment periods and through reviews conducted by technical reviewers.

The company’s responses to public questions, as well as supplemental work done to address technical comments, will be posted to the BC EAO’s website at www.eao.gov.bc.ca.
