POLICE – Two in custody after attempted house break-in, RCMP seek third suspect with a limp

Two men have been arrested after allegedly trying to break into a house in Brocklehurst.

Today (March 21, 2017) at 9:20 a.m., RCMP received a call from a homeowner on Fleetwood Avenue saying three men were trying to break into his house.  Police immediately responded but the suspects fled.  Police set up a perimeter and a police dog tracked two of the three suspects to Greenfield Avenue where they were taken into custody without incident.

It appears that the third suspect injured himself while fleeing.  Other residents in the area called RCMP to report that a male with a significant limp was going from yard to yard and jumping fences.

Kamloops RCMP are asking anyone who sees a male with a significant limp in the Brocklehurst area to contact police.  The investigation is ongoing.
