POLICE – Driver hospitalized after three-vehicle collision on Halston

A driver was taken to hospital after a three-vehicle collision on Halston Street today (March 1, 2017).

police vanTwo vehicles were stopped at a red light about 11:40 a.m. when a third failed to stop and collided with one of them, which then rolled forward into the other.

The driver of the second vehicle (the one that was impacted between the other two vehicles) was taken by ambulance to Royal Inland Hospital with minor injuries.

The driver who failed to stop and caused the collision was issued a 24-hour driving prohibition for being impaired by medication.  He was also issued a violation ticket for driving without due care and attention.
