POLICE – Man facing charges in robbery of downtown bank
A 52-year-old man will be in court today (Monday, Feb. 20) charged with robbing the TD Canada Trust Bank on Victoria Street.
Sgt. Darren Michels said the man was arrested after an extensive investigation and several tips from the public.
The bank was robbed early Friday afternoon by a man who told employees he had a weapon, then fled on foot up Third Avenue toward the hospital.
No one was injured in the robbery.

Why would you give money to a man who just says he has a gun? Shouldn’t you wait until you actually see the gun?
