Man charged with second degree murder in connection with Dallas Drive death
A 56-year-old Kamloops man has been charged with second degree murder in connection with the death of a resident Saturday night.
RCMP Cpl. Jodie Shelkie said Sunday night the charge was laid against Stephen George Fraser in the death of a 26-year-old man found dead at a home near the 9000 block of Dallas Drive. Police were called to the address around 9:30 p.m. Saturday about a disturbance where a man was being detained by witnesses.
Investigators entered a trailer where they found the dead man, whose identity hasn’t yet been released, but police confirm he is a Kamloops resident. The suspect being held by the witnesses was arrested and taken to the Kamloops RCMP detachment.
Forensic investigators continued to work at the scene Sunday.
Shelkie thanked members of the public who assisted with the incident, and asked anyone with further information who hasn’t yet spoken with investigators to contact Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS)
