Kamloops RCMP are looking for a suspect and motive in a pepper spray incident that occurred Tuesday afternoon (Jan. 31, 2017).

At about 2:10 p.m. a man discharged pepper spray at the outside door of the McDonalds Restaurant on Victoria Street. Cpl. Jodie Shelkie said the man appeared to be with two women and all left the area immediately.

A witness said they got into a vehicle. There is no description of the suspect, the females with him or the vehicle they may have left in, said Shelkie.

“One male was in the vicinity when the pepper spray was discharged, he received medical attention at the scene and was released with no lasting injuries,” she said.

“Other people in the area were aware of the spray but none required medical assistance.”

Kamloops RCMP are asking anyone who witnessed the incident and have a description of the suspect to contact them at 250-828-3000 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
