PETERS – Dial down the pressure on Canadian goalies like Ingram
IN HINDSIGHT, I was maybe growing up too fast. I was 19 years old, and I was speaking in front of crowds of several hundred people on Sunday mornings, people who were very protective of their church podiums.
For some reason, I thought I had something to say, and for some reason, they let me say it. It was a lot of pressure.
But it was just a drop in the bucket compared to the pressure facing kids like Connor Ingram playing for Team Canada at the World Junior Hockey Championship.
Good comment James. Folks ask a lot of these young men. To boo your own guys in inexcusable. They are and were great representatives of all that is good about the game of hockey in Canada, and I congratulate them.
