Pedestrian struck on Columbia Street

A 25-year-old woman was hit while crossing Columbia Street last night (Nov. 28, 2016).

rcmppatch2The accident happened at 9:45 p.m. in the 600 block of Columbia Street West as the woman was in the crosswalk. RCMP said today she was hit by a vehicle travelling up Columbia.

BC Ambulance took her to Royal Inland Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the vehicle stayed on scene and is cooperating with police.

The investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing.
