ELECTION BITS – How the winner will be picked for BC Liberal nomination in Kamloops-North Thompson riding

VotelogThe BC Liberals will pick their candidate for the Kamloops-North Thompson riding tomorrow (Nov. 19) and here’s how the process will work. Riding association members can vote at any of four polling stations — Barriere, Clearwater, Sun Peaks or Kamloops. The first three polls will be open in the morning at 9. At 12 noon, candidates Mike Grenier, Steven Puhallo and Peter Milobar will make five-minute speeches at the McArthur Island Sports and Events Centre upstairs lounge, after which polls will open there. Members will vote using a preferential ballot, so they only have to vote once. McIsland polls close at 4:30 p.m., after which the ballots from all four polling stations will be counted. Results are expected at 5 and the candidates will be informed of the result. It’s expected party members will gather at McIsland to find out the results but the party also says results will be announced on Periscope, Twitter and Facebook….
