Some comments on Leonard Cohen’s passing, from the ArmchairMayor Facebook page.

Peggy Siemens (Nov. 13): I saw him at the laundrymat too and at the grind which was across the street back then.

Marilyn Korba (Nov. 13): He came to the Grind Coffee house back when he was dong his laundry nite, we were having a poetry reading nite it was such an honour for me.

Shirley Moorhead (Nov. 12): I listen to him every single day. That is every single day for the last twenty years. His CDs fill up the side pockets on my car. I love his raspy voice. Unbeknownst to him, he’s been my companion in hard times and in good times. He’s given me advice, he’s soothed my sorrows, but most of all he’s given me hope. I feel he’s still here, right there in my car where he’ll continue to sing. I mean to give myself a gift this week … to purchase his latest CD.

Tony Klancar (Nov. 12): “There is a crack in everything.. that’s how the light gets in.” Leonard Cohen.
