ELECTION BITS – Grenier busy in lead-up to Liberal nomination Nov. 19

… Candidate for the Liberal nomination in Kamloops-North Thompson Michael Grenier is busy with only a couple of weeks to go until nomination day. He’s met with, among others, the Clearwater Chamber of Commerce, TNRD Electoral Area ‘O’ Director Bill Kershaw and constituency groups in Sun Rivers and Sun Peaks about his “Fresh Ideas” campaign that includes fibre to the home and new development at Kamloops Airport…

Green Party leader Andrew Weaver named Cowichan Valley candidate Sonia Furstenau as a deputy leader on Wednesday….The BC Conservatives officially announced in a press release at 11 p.m. on Wednesday that they’re looking for a new leader. Without referring to former two-time leader Dan Brooks, who was given the heave-ho, the release from party president Corbin Mitchell said, “It came to the attention of the provincial Board that a constitutional procedural error was made by the Board during the process of approving one of the candidates,” and he promised a “more detailed statement” later. No indication yet of how the party intends to fill the vacancy.
