Jazz and dinner for Phoenix Centre

PhoenixeventCOMMUNITY — The Phoenix Centre and the Country Garden Greenhouse will team up to host an evening of entertainment and food Aug. 2 to raise money for the work done by the centre on drug addictions.

Anita Eccleston and her jazz trio will perform, and local producers of lamb, beef, trout, salmon, cheese, fruits and vegetables have contributed to a dinner.

“Most people don’t realize the epidemic levels of addiction we are actually experiencing and we are thrilled when people step forward to help,” said Sian Lewis of the Phoenix Centre.

Tickets are $65, available at The Smorgasbord Deli or Moviemart. The evening starts at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2 at the Country Garden Greenhouse, 4120 Highway 97, Monte Lake.
