Y Dream Home tickets are sold out

Y Dream homeCOMMUNITY — The last two tickets for the 2015 Dream Home have been sold.

The Dream Home lottery, in partnership with Canadian Home Builders Association Central Interior,  raises funds for the Kamloops YMCA-YWCA, with prize draws July 7 starting at 9 a.m. The event will be televised on CFJC TV7.

The $600,000 home is at 1990 Qu’Appelle Blvd. in Juniper Ridge and is just one of many prizes — albeit the top prize — available to the 11,000 people who bought $100 tickets. The last two tickets were sold Tuesday, the home builders announced today (Friday).

“We’re proud to partner with TRU School of Trades and Technology and the Kamloops YMCA-YWCA to create a successful event bringing benefits to so many in our community,” said local CHBA president Matt McCurrach.

“What makes this project work year after year is the cooperation and volunteer support within this community. From the land developer, suppliers and trades people to the businesses that donate prizes along and all the volunteers selling tickets, it’s the people of Kamloops coming together to make great things happen.”
