Smorgasbord of drugs seized from car, stash house
NEWS/ POLICE — A traffic stop has resulted in police seizing a buffet of drugs from a vehicle and a stash house.
Kamloops RCMP said today (Wednesday) its Targeted Enforcement Unit stopped a vehicle as it was leaving a suspected drug house last Thursday and found a pound of cocaine.
A search warrant on the house in the 2700 block of Valleyview Drive uncovered another pound of cocaine, ½ pound of methamphetamine, 1.5 ounces of heroin, 758 tablets of Oxycontin and drug trafficking paraphernalia.
A 46-year-old Kamloops man was arrested at the scene and will be appearing in court at a later date, facing several charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
The seizure represents about 10,000 individual doses of cocaine, 2,700 doses of methamphetamine, and 500 doses of heroin and over 700 doses of Oxycontin off the streets, said Cpl. Cheryl Bush.
