COMMUNITY — Interior CarShare Co-operative (InCar) will present three short films about car sharing, the share economy and sustainable transportation on May 27. The films start at 7 p.m. at the TRU Clocktower and are a part of the “Films for Change” series.

InCar will explore collaborative consumption in a film featuring April Rinne, a global expert on the sharing economy; a short film about the concept of car sharing; and a piece on active and sustainable transportation from CBC’s The National.

“There are a lot of people in Kamloops craving a stronger community,” said Dylan Houlihan, acting president of InCar. “These films will demonstrate how we can make some progress in that regard.”

The InCar triple feature will be followed by a panel discussion featuring Christian Brandt, executive director of Okanagan Carshare Co-op (OGO).

Entry is by donation. The Films for Change series is sponsored by the TRU Office of Sustainability. Refreshments will be available.
