Daily News building at Seymour and 4th. Future home for performing arts?

ARTS — The preliminary verdict on a new performing arts centre will be delivered Thursday night.

The performing arts centre committee will share the preliminary business case on a new centre at a 7 p.m. meeting in the Parkside Lounge.

The meeting will recap what has been done to date; what has been heard from the community; location and site selection; potential footprint to illustrate the components and size; and a cost overview, including a preliminary funding strategy.

The report is based on input received from community stakeholder groups, including the business community, the arts community and the general public through brainstorming sessions and open houses.

A follow-up meeting will be held at Interior Savings Centre from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturday, April 18 to give residents a chance to provide feedback.
