The B.C. Coroners Service confirmed her name Thursday.
The Kamloops fire department was called to a fire at the rock sculpture in the park early Tuesday morning. Firefighters were able to rescue Carr from the fire.
“Preliminary indications are that Ms. Carr had set the blaze and then ended up in it accidentally,” stated coroner Barb McLintock.
Carr was taken to Royal Inland Hospital but died of several hours later.
In another case, the coroner’s service and RCMP are asking the public’s help in identifying a man whose body was found in a wooded area off Rose Hill Road on Feb. 21.
The man was found by passersby in an area popular with hikers and dog walkers. He is believed to have died within the previous 48 hours of being found. Foul play has been ruled out.
He is an older Caucasian male with blue eyes, 183 cm (6 feet) tall, weighing about 89 kg (195 lbs). He was wearing a black “Raising the Roof” toque, grey and brown Navajo-style patterned Wind River jacket, black sweatshirt with “Talisman Energy” on the right sleeve, blue dress shirt, Denver Hayes blue jeans, black rubber boots, a black leather belt and a silver Timex watch.
