Police seek suspects after armed home invasion reported

RCMPNEWS/ POLICE — Kamloops RCMP were called to a residence in the 300 block of Fortune Drive just after 5 p.m.  Monday for a report of a home invasion with a weapon in progress. The initial report was that two males armed with a handgun entered the residence and tried to steal items from the victim.

There were no injuries and the suspects fled on foot before police arrived. A perimeter was set up immediately by police; however, the suspects and the weapon were not located. This incident is believed to be a targeted event and the investigation into the matter is continuing.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Kamloops RCMP or call Crime Stoppers to remain anonymous.
