Robber flashes knife, takes cash and cigs
NEWS/ POLICE — A knife-wielding robber grabbed a convenience-store clerk, then made off with cash and cigarettes today, Saturday.
Kamloops RCMP responded to a report of a robbery at the Sahali Esso Convenience Store at 915 Columbia St. at about 11:30 a.m.
The lone male suspect entered the store, produced a knife and grabbed the clerk. He demanded cash and cigarettes. The man made off with an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes. Police tried to track the suspect with the police service dog but didn’t find him.
However, the knife was located by the dog a short distance from the business. The suspect is described as about 5 ft. 10 inches tall, 200 lbs., wearing a camouflage balaclava over his face, a light grey hoodie and dark pants. There were no injuries to the store clerk during the incident.
Anyone with information on this robbery is asked to contact Kamloops RCMP or call Crime Stoppers to remain anonymous.

No ‘physical’ injuries. This poor clerk may sadly be traumatized for life. My heart goes out to him or her.
