‘Wild and Wet’ — water and us
ARTS — The relationship between water and people is the focus of a photo exhibit at the Old Courthouse Cultural Centre March 12 to 14.
The “Wild and Wet” exhibition focuses on water and how it affects people and wildlife in British Columbia. The artists displaying their photographs are members of the Kamloops Photo Arts Club who have responded to the call for photographs that depict the close relationship between water and the inhabitants of British Columbia.
The Kamloops Arts Council’s Main Gallery is located in the Old Courthouse Cultural Centre. The gallery is open Tuesday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and until 4 p.m. on Saturdays. There is no admission fee.
An opening reception will be held Friday, March 13, 5 to 7 p.m.
Formed in 1982, the Kamloops Photo Arts Club (KPAC) is a Kamloops based club of photography enthusiasts. KPAC promotes an appreciation of photography and encourages fellowship and support all camera, image, and processing hobbyists.
Members are involved in any of a number of activities of their choosing such as field trips, competitions, guest speakers and special activities in which members photograph local events.
