36-year-old Clearwater pedestrian killed in highway accident

NEWS — The B.C. Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died after a motor vehicle incident near Clearwater.

B.C. Coroners ServiceHe was Reginald Shane Daughtrey, aged 36, of Clearwater.

Daughtrey was a pedestrian walking in the travelled portion of the roadway on the Yellowhead Highway about 10 km. south of Clearwater shortly after 8 p.m. last Wednesday when he was hit by a fully loaded semi-trailer unit. He died at the scene.

The coroner’s service and RCMP continue to investigate.
