Two suspects apprehended during Valleyview break-in

NEWS/ POLICE — A man and a woman were expected to appear in court today (Thursday) on charges arising from a break-in Wednesday night at RTR Performance in Valleyview.

RCMPKamloops RCMP were alerted to an alarm there shortly before 10 p.m. Police located a vehicle parked nearby with a female occupant and then saw a man climbing out of the fenced compound at the business.

The investigation revealed that the male suspect had broken a window to gain access to the business and loaded merchandise into duffle bags while he was inside. Bags of merchandise were recovered in the fenced compound area outside of the business from where the suspect had fled on foot. A police service dog was used to track and apprehend the suspect in a nearby residential area.

The 29-year-old man and 22-year-old woman were to appear in Kamloops court.
