The late Richard (Dick) Dickens was a much-loved and respected music educator and passionate advocate for the arts. In his will, he established a scholarship fund for awards to students of School District 73 who were going on to post-secondary studies in music.

The fund established by Dick’s bequest was entrusted to the B.C. Interior Community Foundation (formerly the Kamloops Foundation).

On Sunday, Feb. 15 at 7:15 p.m. in the sanctuary of the Southwest Community Baptist Church, 700 Hugh Allen Drive, a concert will take place to raise money to help sustain the scholarship fund. The Kamloops Community Band will provide a wide variety of selections, and the Kamloops Big Band will deliver their popular mix of big band swing and jazz.

Refreshments will be served, and there will be a silent auction in conjunction with the concert.
Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for students and seniors.

To order tickets, contact Shantel at 250-573-0003 or email shantelrenner@hotmail.com with the number of tickets required and your contact information.
