Suspect busted for drugs, shotgun

NEWS/ POLICE — Police arrested a 25-year-old man Tuesday after he was found with drugs in his possession and a sawed-off shotgun in his car near a local hotel.

They were called to the scene shortly after 2 p.m. in response to a report of a man with a firearm.

During the course of their investigation police checked a man in a nearby alley. The man was found to be in possession of drugs and a sawed off shotgun was located in the vehicle he was associated with.

Cpl. Cheryl Bush said the 25-year-old man is known to police and is in custody facing drug and firearm charges. The investigation is ongoing.
