Victim in industrial accident identified

B.C. Coroners ServiceNEWS — The B.C. Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died in an industrial accident at the Fountain Tire facility in Kamloops on Tuesday.

He was Nicklas Jay Kristen Taylor, aged 36, of Kamloops.

Taylor was a foreman at the Fountain Tire facility on Lafarge Road and, about 6 a.m., was unloading a trailer-load of tires when he somehow became trapped by a very large tire. He was deceased at the scene.

The coroner and WorkSafe BC continue to investigate this death.
