53-year-old Chase resident victim of mobile home fire

NEWS — A woman who died in a mobile home fire in Chase has been identified as Sherry Leah Skjeie, 53.

Firefighters were called to the fire at Skjeie’s mobile home at the Whispering Pines Mobile Home Park in the early hours of Friday, Jan. 16.

Skjeie’s body was found after the fire had been extinguished. The fire isn’t considered suspicious but Skjeie’s death continues to be investigated.
