And it won’t cost her and her husband a dime. Pearson is the winner of the 2014 Luxury Vacation Lottery, valued at $10,000. The prize is for the river of her choice on Avalon Waterways.

“I have never won anything and have always wanted to go to Europe,” Pearson said.

The lottery is a fundraiser for the Kamloops Art Gallery to support exhibitions and programs. Tickets for the 2015 lottery will go on sale in July.

Sponsors for 2014 were Travelwise, Avalon Waterways, WestKey, B100 Radio, Kamloops This Week, CFJC TV and New Wave Advertising.
