Stolen vehicle recovered, suspect in custody

NEWS/ POLICE — Acting on a report from a member of the public, Kamloops RCMP found a stolen vehicle in the Pineview area Sunday. The vehicle had been stolen earlier in the day from the downtown core.

With the assistance of an RCMP service dog, a 24-year-old Kamloops prolific offender was apprehended and will remain in custody pending a Monday morning Court appearance.

Possession of stolen property over $5,000 and breach of probation are among the charges being forwarded to the Crown.

The investigation is continuing.
