Search for possible jumper comes up empty

NEWS/ POLICE — A search for a suspected jumper came up empty late Tuesday after someone reported a man near the west railing of Overlander Bridge and thought he might decide to jump.

RCMP got the call about 5:20 p.m. and conducted a thorough search including a boat patrol by the Kamloops Fire and Rescue and a shore search by Search and Rescue.

No one was located in or near the river. The description of the male provided was that he was about 45 years old, was wearing a dark toque and dark clothing. Anyone with further information is asked to contact Kamloops RCMP.
