Home searched after report of man being held

NEWS/ POLICE — A report of a man being held against his will in connection with drug debts took police to a Campbell Avenue home on Thursday.

Const. Jason Epp said when police arrived at the scene, a man who was associated to the complaint, and who is known to police, was taken into custody as he left the residence.

“With a concern for public safety, police called out the remainder of the occupants of the residence and then searched the residence in an attempt to locate the male victim.”

The victim wasn’t found but Epp said it’s believed he’s safe in the Kamloops area. Charges are being contemplated.
