Arts Council, Phoenix Centre partner on cards

ARTS — The Kamloops Arts Council and Phoenix Centre have partnered on a series of holiday cards now available for sale. All proceeds will benefit their free community programs.

The cards feature artwork created by participants of the arts council’s Crossing Bridges Outreach program, which provides arts workshops to children, youth and adults in the Kamloops area, including clients of the Phoenix Centre.

One Crossing Bridges participant said, “I think this program should be a mandatory aspect of recovery and mental health facilities.”

The holiday cards come in four different designs and are available at the Kamloops Arts Council office at the Old Courthouse. They will also be for sale at this weekend’s Christmas at the Courthouse event, Nov. 29 and 30. Cost of the cards is $4 each, with discounts on bulk purchases. To order, contact the Kamloops Arts Council at admin@kamloopsarts.ca or 250-372-7323, or the Phoenix Centre at 250-374-4634.
