Yes, he should have run for mayor. Mel stated “I don’t view issues from an urban-centric perspective” but I say hard to switch hats. We needed someone who would & could relate to the needs of the small rural communities – please note that Mel’s biggest support came overwhelmingly from Sun Rivers – urban I would say. Most of the smaller areas, McLure, Heffley, Pinantan, who need someone looking out for their interests, voted for John because that’s what he has done for the past 6 years. Kamloops had 6 Directors, now they have a 7th. I will be watching closely.

You seemed to dismiss the fact that Sun Rivers that doesn’t pay any taxes into the TNRD voted 180 in your favour to 62 to the incumbent. Don’t you think its time for Sun Rivers to pay into Hospital Capital taxes or libary taxes like the rest of us.
Perhaps not.

Would that not be an issue for the KIB to determine as Sun Rivers is technically on their land?

I don’t think anything was dismissed. The results were simply stated.
