Hunter waiting for a ride brings police response

RCMPNEWS/ POLICE — A hunter in camo gear waiting for a ride caused a stir Thursday morning.

At about 8:20 a.m. police got a call about a man at the intersection of Tranquille Road and Schreiner Street with a long gun. The caller indicated that the man was dressed in camo gear and standing on the roadside.

RCMP responded and blocked off the road while they tried to locate the man. They were able to determine that he was a hunter waiting to be picked up.

The police response included the dog unit and air support to assist in locating him.
