COMMUNITY — We are having a fantastic month of October here at BIG Little Science Centre, as we explore the amazing salmon that are such an important part of our lives in Kamloops.

We are Celebrating Salmon with loads of fun activities and events.

Plus, our speaker forum returns with “The Six Degrees of Salmon” by Gord Stewart on Thursday, Oct. 23 at 7 p.m. An amazing speaker, Gord will have a humourous and interesting talk about salmon. This evening will be appropriate for all ages, especially adults. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and a reception is included.

Finally, everyone is invited to a free entry day, Saturday, Nov. 1 to celebrate the salmon AND the school children who have been creating clay salmon this month at BIG Little Science Centre.

Led by artist Leslie Bolin, school children have been exploring the life of salmon and expressing their knowledge by creating two versions of their own. All salmon will be on display, throughout the science centre for all to see at this Salmon Art Gala. Plus the regular interactive science exhibits will be open for all to enjoy.
