Police arrest upset man who had firearms

police vanPOLICE BLOTTER — Anger over a banking issue apparently sent a man storming from his home Wednesday afternoon carrying three firearms. RCMP found him at the home of other family members and arrested him.

Cpl. Cheryl Bush said the man’s wife called police after an altercation. She said he was upset over some issues with his banking earlier in the day.

As a precaution, police notified the man’s bank and then went looking for him. He was found at the home of other family members after 1 p.m. and was arrested without incident, Bush said.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
