Man turns himself in after armed robbery at gun store

RCMPNEWS/ POLICE — A man turned himself today (Monday) after an attempt was made to rob the Power Keg Shooters Supply store on Tranquille Road this morning.

The robbery happened just after 9 a.m. when a man entered the store and pointed a cross bow at a store employee, demanding a firearm. He fled the store before getting any firearms, and left in a vehicle.

As police were looking for the robber, a 31-year-old man turned himself in to the RCMP detachment on Battle Street, claiming responsibility for the robbery.

The cross bow and the vehicle used in the robbery have both been recovered.
