The man entered the Big Daddy Liquor Store in the 1800 block of the East Canada Highway in Valleyview and demanded money from employees, producing what looked like a handgun. Fortunately, no one was hurt in the robbery.

He then fled on foot east from the store, discarding clothing was he fled. He also tossed the handgun, which turned out to be an imitation.

Kamloops RCMP responded at 8:24 p.m. Police Dog Services, along with Kamloops RCMP members, established a perimeter and searched for the man but came up empty.

The suspect is described as a skinny Native male, 6 feet tall, wearing a black long sleeve shirt with a white decal on the back, black pants, and black ball cap with a white skull. He was wearing a copper coloured wig, sunglasses and black converse style shoes with a thick rubber white toe.

S/Sgt. Lane Jumaga asked anyone with information about the robbery to call Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 or Crime stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
