Driver killed in crash near Pritchard was 58-year-old Chase resident

B.C. Coroners ServiceNEWS — The name of a man who died in a head-on crash near Pritchard early Thursday was released today. He was John Findlay Linklater, 58, of Chase.

Linklater was the driver and sole occupant of a pickup truck that was heading eastbound on Highway 1 just after midnight Thursday. About two kilometres west of Pritchard it collided with a semi-trailer.

Linklater was deceased at the scene of the incident.

The B.C. Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate.
