COMMUNITY — Already this year, United Way has hosted 14 Day of Caring projects and two more are on the way.

The next Day of Caring events are on Thursday, July 10 from 9:30 a.m. to  3:30 p.m. at Children’s Circle Daycare Society, 622 St. Paul St., and Wednesday, July 16 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Overlander Residential Care, 953 Southill Street.

On July 10 at Children’s Circle Daycare, volunteers from Spectra Energy will install and refresh two sandboxes with donated sand from the City of Kamloops, and do general landscaping and yard maintenance.

Volunteers from Fulton and Company will spend their afternoon July 16 at Overlander Residential Care painting a gate, two gazebos and a number of picnic tables in hopes of brightening the facility’s outdoor area.
