Arrest made after report of man walking with firearm

NEWS/ POLICE — Two BB guns were seized in connection with an arrest on Desmond Street on Monday night.

RCMP signRCMP Cpl. Cheryl Bush said today (Tuesday) police were called about 8:30 p.m. Monday to a report of a man walking with a firearm.

“The first officer who responded observed the suspect place a long barreled firearm under a vehicle on the roadway. As other officers arrived, they demanded the male to drop the handgun he was holding and he was then arrested without incident.”
