Robber uses bear spray on employees of restaurant

NEW/ POLICE — A man robbed the Dynasty Garden restaurant in the 200 block of Tranquille Road this afternoon (Monday) using bear spray on several employees in the process.

RCMPRCMP reported they received a call at 12:23 p.m. to the restaurant, where they were told the man demanded money from an employee, then sprayed several workers before fleeing on foot.

Police Dog Services along with Kamloops RCMP Helicopter Air 4 assisted in the search for the suspect without finding him.

The male suspect is described as Caucasian, in his mid to late 30’s, 6 feet tall with short brown hair, wearing a red jersey, black shorts and a camouflage coloured backpack.

Anyone with information about this robbery is asked to call Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 or Crime stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
