Youth who fell from parkade identified as Hanceville resident

NEWS — The B.C. Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a youth who died following an incident at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops on June 15.

B.C. Coroners ServiceHe is Jacob George Setah, aged 18, of Hanceville, about 90 km west of Williams Lake.

On the evening of June 15, Setah was seriously injured at the hospital’s parking structure. He received emergency medical treatment inside the hospital but died of his injuries a few hours later.

The B.C. Coroners Service and the Independent Investigations Office (IIO) continue to investigate this death.
