Driver killed in Rayleigh crash identified

NEWS — A man who died in a head-on crash near Rayleigh June 9 has been identified as Timothy John Watson, 53, of Kamloops.

The B.C. Coroners Service today confirmed his identity.

Watson was the driver of a pickup truck travelling northbound on Highway 5 about 2:30 p.m. on June 9 when it was in a collision with a southbound pickup truck about four km. north of Rayleigh. Watson died at the scene.

The B.C. Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate his death.
