Winners announced for 7th KISS Festival

ARTS/ COMMUNITY — Three jury winners, an audience favourite and a youth prize have been named for the 7th annual Kamloops Independent Short Short (KISS) Film Festival.

The Thompson Nicola Film Commission also donated two prizes to the festival, held May 30.

Film-KISS“The film committee was highly impressed by the quality and production value of this year’s entries,” KISS committee and jury chair Jon Fulton said Monday. “This was a great year for the KISS Festival.”

The winners are:

First Place: THREE, by Kaisha Bicknell.

Second Place: SMALL MIRACLES, by Loyd Bishop.

Third Place: SEE YOU SOON, by Stephen Casson.

Youth Prize: LAST FALL, by Kora Vanderlip.

Audience Favourite: STOPPING STEPHEN HARPER, by Tim Unaegbu.

The TNRD prizes were awarded to:

Small Miracles, by Loyd Bishop, for best representation of the Thompson Nicola Film Commission.
